Tuesday Shoesday

Flannel and glitter. Who knew they'd look so good together? Kate did, of course.
How perfect for a warm & cozy - yet completely glamorous - fall wedding.

Candy Overload

Boo!

We're back. And suffering from post-Halloween candy overload. But not suffering so much we can't throw out a little Shoreside Candy Bar inspiration.

OK... Admittedly maybe not the most appropriate for fall, but I'm always a fan of blue and green for Shoreside weddings. (And really, it's never too early to start planning for next summer.)

Old-fashioned fun. Have you bought penny candy at the 1865 Country Store store in Centerville?

Must-haves for a Shoreside Candy Buffet:

And this little bit of super-cuteness:
{ Chocolate Covered Cranberries in teeny-tiny apple picking baskets? I die. }

Slipping into September

The Cape is slowly slipping into September, this most beautiful month that bridges summer into fall.  Sometimes we have a day warm enough to enjoy the beach, but evening falls most noticeably earlier and the air is most decidedly crisp.

The purple hydrangea is the quintessential flower of this time & place. The vibrant bloom synonymous with summer colored a deeper shade for fall.

Are you enjoying Cape Cod in September? I am.

Inspiration: Turquoise

Still obsessing about these shoes:

So a little inspiration for the wedding that coordinates with the shoes:

Tuesday Shoesday: Holy Turquoise

See them there? On the bike?

Now up close:

Inject a pop of Turquoise (the Pantone 2010 Color of the Year) into a Shoreside wedding? Yes, please.

(Plus, love the bicycle built for two, the short dress, the beachy background...Yes, this is pretty much the most perfect picture ever.)
